MODULE 1- Muscles, Bones & Fascia Oh My!

MODULE 2 – Yoga in the Heat Part 1
Dates: June 26-28th
Teachers: Kate Burns & Jennifer Harrington
This training will give you a strong foundation in the dialogue and sequencing of the 26 postures, as well as encourage your own authentic voice. A truly amazing combination for confidence and development of a strong teacher.
MODULE 3: Myofascial Release
Dates: July 25-26th
Teacher: DIane Malaspina
Self Myofascial Release is becoming a complement to yoga as its an effective tool for reducing pain and enhancing range of motion. This training will include a more in-depth study of connective tissue and fascial anatomy and the therapeutic application of SMFR techniques in a yoga setting. This is a whole-body approach and also reinforces knowledge of anatomy and movement. SMFR tools and techniques will be covered as well as approaches to teaching private and group classes.
MODULE 4: Viniyoga & Intro to Yoga Therapy
Dates: August 8-9th
Teachers: Amy Wheeler & Amanda Hamp
Viniyoga & Intro to Yoga therapy with the Optimal State is a comprehensive and authentic transmission of the teachings of yoga including āsana, prāṇāyāma, bandha, sound, chanting, meditation, personal ritual and study of texts. Viniyoga is an ancient Sanskrit term that implies differentiation, adaptation, and appropriate application.
MODULE 5: Yoga Nidra
Dates: September 5-6th
Teacher: Amanda Hamp
Yoga Nidra training- Yoga Nidra (also known as Yogic Sleep) is a powerful relaxation technique that you can do when you gain some control over the relaxation response. When practiced right, this technique can be as restorative as sleep, while remaining fully conscious. This ancient practice is becoming more popular as a form of meditation and mind-body therapy, and has multiple physical benefits.
